Its also one of my entries to MBP- Street Food Contest and i come across this recipe during my visit to Shankari's blog and her original recipe is HERE.
I have sauted the sundal with mustard seeds and broken black gram and curry leaves and added a little turmeric powder which varies slightly from the original one to give an added taste.
Ingredients:
Fresh Green Peas / Dry Green Peas / Pachai Pattani – 1 cup
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Grated coconut – 4 tbsp
Grated or finely chopped Green Mango – 4 tbsp
Dry Red Chilly / Green chilly – 2 (finely chopped)
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilly Powder – ½ tsp (optional)
Curry Leaves –few
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Broken Black Gram – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Cooking Oil
Cooking Instructions:

Tips: If you are using dry green peas, soak it in a bowl of hot boiling water and place it in a hot pack or a vaccum flask for 1 to 2 hours to use it immediately, instead of soaking it overnight.
Add green peas with enough amount of salt and water in a pressure cooker. Let it to cook until the peas are well boiled. Strain the excess water.
Heat 4 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, broken black gram, curry leaves, chopped chillies and onions and fry a while. Add cooked peas to it and stir fry it. Add turmeric powder and chilly powder to it and fry a while. Before you switch off the stove, Add grated coconut and mango to it and fry a minute and serve it hot.
