Cooking Instructions:
I purchased a microwave oven in this new year and am keep trying recipes in it. This tandoori chicken recipe is the first microwave oven recipe in my blog.
Mix curd, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, chili powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, food color, lime juice and salt together in a bowl and mix well. Do not add water. The mixture should be little thick in consistency. So add lime juice accordingly. If the mixture is little watery, the chicken will not hold the marination well.
Now wash and clean the chicken legs well and let it to drain water for 5 to 10 minutes. Make few slits on each leg. Now marinate the chicken legs with prepared mixture and apply the mixture on the cut slits too.
In my oven , I used grill+cook mode to prepare this recipe. Preheat the oven to 200 degree centigrade and place the chicken in the grill and let the chicken to cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until it is cooked. Brush the chicken with little oil before you place it in the oven. Reposition and brush with little oil while grilling at regular intervals. (cooking time and the temperature of each oven varies and so adjust the cooking time and temperature accordingly). Tandoori chicken is ready to serve now.
